We are seeking a Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech) to perform breast imaging studies that aid in the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease. The Mammo Tech will prepare and position patients, operate mammography equipment, and ensure image quality while prioritizing patient comfort and safety. This role requires technical expertise, compassion, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and position patients for mammography examinations
Operate mammography equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
Explain procedures and provide reassurance to patients throughout the exam
Follow radiation safety and infection control standards at all times
Review images for clarity and accuracy before submission to radiologists
Maintain mammography equipment and perform routine quality control checks
Accurately document imaging procedures and patient information
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to support patient care
Skills & Experience:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
ARRT certification in Radiography; advanced certification in Mammography preferred or required depending on state
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patient comfort
Attention to detail and ability to ensure diagnostic image quality
Physical ability to assist patients with positioning and operate imaging equipment
