Phlebotomist

We have open phlebotomist jobs! Phlebotomists play a vital role in patient care by collecting blood samples safely and accurately for laboratory testing, diagnosis, and treatment monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Draw blood samples using venipuncture, heel sticks, or finger sticks as appropriate

  • Verify patient identity and label specimens accurately to prevent errors

  • Prepare specimens for transport and ensure proper handling for laboratory analysis

  • Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of work areas, equipment, and supplies

  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after blood collection

  • Record patient information, test details, and collection times in medical records

  • Provide reassurance and clear instructions to patients of all ages

Skills & Experience:

  • Phlebotomy certification required (e.g., from the American Society for Clinical Pathology or National Phlebotomy Association).
  • At least 1 year of experience in phlebotomy or a clinical setting preferred.
  • Active state certification or licensure as a phlebotomist required.
  • Familiarity with blood collection procedures, specimen handling, and laboratory protocols is highly valued.
