Phlebotomist
We have open phlebotomist jobs! Phlebotomists play a vital role in patient care by collecting blood samples safely and accurately for laboratory testing, diagnosis, and treatment monitoring.
Responsibilities:
Draw blood samples using venipuncture, heel sticks, or finger sticks as appropriate
Verify patient identity and label specimens accurately to prevent errors
Prepare specimens for transport and ensure proper handling for laboratory analysis
Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of work areas, equipment, and supplies
Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after blood collection
Record patient information, test details, and collection times in medical records
Provide reassurance and clear instructions to patients of all ages
Skills & Experience:
- Phlebotomy certification required (e.g., from the American Society for Clinical Pathology or National Phlebotomy Association).
- At least 1 year of experience in phlebotomy or a clinical setting preferred.
- Active state certification or licensure as a phlebotomist required.
- Familiarity with blood collection procedures, specimen handling, and laboratory protocols is highly valued.
